Carcasses of animals with no foreign materials.
The carcasses of sheep, goats and cattle from agriculture are not accepted unless the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority has granted an exemption and with the prior agreement of SORPA bs.
Organic waste will not be allowed to be buried in Álfsnes after 31 December 2021.

What happens to the material?
Animal carcasses are buried in a separate slot and covered immediately at the SORPA landfill at Álfsnes.
Other possibilities
It's also possible to deliver the carcasses for incineration to the receiving and incineration station of Kalka in Helguvík, Reykjanesbær. See kalka.is.
