SORPA is an indepenent firm jointly owned by the six municipalities of the capiltal area and is responsible for receiving their waste.

 

SORPA runs six recycling centres where the public and smaller companies bring their sorted waste, receiving and sorting plant in Gufunesi and a Landfill site in Álfsnes for larger loads of waste.

Our employees work in customer service, waste sorting and handling.

 

SORPA is not in waste collection.
