About Nordic Biogas Conference

The Organizers

Participants in the conference organizing committee are SORPA bs. from Iceland (conference coordinator), the Danish Biogas Association, Waste Management Norway, Finnish Biogas Association, Swedish Gas Centre and Energigas Sverige.

Vision of Nordic Biogas Conference

The vision of NBC is to let stakeholders in the gas and energy sector meet and exchange experience in addition to get the latest updates from the leading researchers in the biogas, wastewater and energy fields at an international level.

It is crucial that biogas and energy experts spread their knowledge and activities to the world, which requires cross-disciplinary work on cross-sectoral challenges. This work must be done by a wide range of stakeholders, consultants and scientists that collaborate closely within an international framework. Close interchange of ideas, experiences and applications is the key to develop the biogas industry.

NBC is especially focusing on promoting workable and evidence-based knowledge in biogas production technologies opportunities in waste-to-resources processes and in the backbone role of renewable gasses in the future energy market.

The overarching aim of NBC is to carry out a broad range of sustainable contacts between experts, researchers and developers of the biogas industry, in order to support the process of identifying gaps in the value chain of biogas production and discussing how new knowledge can be practically implemented.
