Reuse
If the electronics are working and you want them to be reused and sold for charity then make sure that it goes into the right container marked: Góði hirðirinn - Nytjahlutir (The Good Shepherd - household goods).

Recycling
Useless televisions and screens are transferred out of the country because they need special handling, to separate plastic, glass and phosphor. They also contain hazardous materials such as led and phosphor.
