Office Paper

(Icelandic: Skrifstofupappír, gæðapappír)

How to sort
Most office paper comes from businesses and printeries. Since only a small amount of office paper is used in households this paper can be sorted with paper & non-corrugated cardboard.

Office paper includes: computer paper, writing paper, fax paper, note paper, carton, envelopes with out plastic windows, post-it and white cut-off paper from factory or printeries.

Where to bring it

Office paper from households can be sorted with paper & non-corrugated cardboard and brought to the nearest recycling centre or into the blue container at the local drop-off centre

Businesses or industries, such as printeries bring the paper to the Receiving Plant at Gufunes.

The Recycling
The paper is compressed in SORPA's Receiving Plant before it's exported to Sweden. There the material is recycled into new paperproducts
